Socially Responsible Investing Week

One of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment is to promote the dissemination of Responsible Investing within society, as decisive impetus towards its development can only come from being aware of it.

Ibercaja has always supported the efforts that Spainsif is making in spreading Sustainable Investing among investors, the academic community and the public administration, as well as with consumers and savers.

Each year, Spainsif promotes the “Socially Responsible Investment Week” with different events. Ibercaja has participated in these events since 2012. In the 2017 edition, Ibercaja hosted a roundtable providing information about the emerging green bond market, which has shown a great dynamism in recent years.

At this roundtable, moderated by José Ángel Barriga, head of project and quality in Ibercaja Pesion, were: Muriel Caton, director of Vigeo-Eiris Enterprise; Victor Viñuales, executive director of ECODES; Luis Berruete, coordinator of Creas; Ignacio Real de Asúa, general director of capital markets in Iberdrola; and Francisco Javier Garayoa, general director of Spainsif.
